Multiply, Using Numeracy to Help People Manage their Money

If you don't feel confident with numbers and using computers, you are not alone!

With a little help from Pure Training Solution, you can start to build your number confidence and computer skills and begin to feel more at ease when using numeracy and computers.

Multiply; Day 1, Course Content Includes:

​

  • Basic IT skills required when using numeracy to manage your money.

  • How to prepare a personal budget planner for 2024.

  • Electricity meter readings / usage and charges.

  • Access to additional free learning resources to help manage your money.

  • Online Numeracy Challenge to check your numeracy level and ability.

  • Option to attend additional sessions to increase knowledge and confidence of using numeracy to help people manage their money.

Pure Digital Skills; Day 2, Course Content Includes: 

​

  • Creating an email account and the related use of secure passwords.

  • Attaching documents to emails such as CV and sending an email.

  • Amending a word document such as their CV, so that changes can be made such as phone, address, and work history.

  • Amending data from a basic excel spreadsheet such as a weekly budget planner.

  • Maintaining a system of data files and saving data to enable secure storage and access.

  • Updating email profiles and the importance of maintaining email account profiles.

  • Introduction to using a benefit calculator to enable a comparison of the financial benefits of being in paid employment or comparison with claiming benefits.

  • Option to attend additional sessions to increase knowledge and confidence in using Digital technology to help people manage their money.

 

Course Details

Course Dates: Multiply 14th February

​

Pure Digital Skills: 16th February

​

Duration: 09:30 to 14:30 (with options to attend additional sessions)

​

Location: Pure Training Solutions, the Bridlington Business Centre, Enterprise Way, Bridlington, YO16 4SF (Behind Morrisons)

Refreshments and Lunch: voucher provided.

Course Fees

​

The Multiply course is funded by the UK Government for eligible attendees. For learners that are not eligible to be funded, the 1 Day Pure Digital Skills course fee is £125.00 per attendee (including VAT).

 

Eligibility Criteria:

​

  • Eligibility Criteria: To be a citizen of a country within the EEA and have been ordinarily resident for at least the previous 3 years, be aged 20 or over, live in the East Riding of Yorkshire and Not have a maths qualification at GCSE grade A, B, or C or grade 4 or above or Maths Functional Skills at level 2, and not have previously attended a Multiply course. National Insurance Number & ID required.

OR

​

  • Already have a L2 maths qualification and, have undertaken an assessment which indicates functional numeracy skills below L2 and participation in Multiply will support progression into employment, will progress your career or will support you progress to higher levels of training.
