Service Description

Health and safety in the workplace is everyone’s responsibility. However, supervisors and managers have more responsibility than others, with legal and more obligations to ensure health and safety in implemented correctly and adhered to. The Highfield Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) has been developed with supervisors, managers and those with a direct responsibility for health and safety management in mind. Ideal for those already working in a management or supervisory role, or those preparing to start at this level, this popular qualification will ensure learners are aware of their legal and moral obligations to ensure health and safety within a business and to employees, contractors, visitors and suppliers. Its subject areas are regarded by the Health and Safety Executive as being important to developing safe working procedures in the workplace. Topics include: • Understand the duties and responsibilities of employers, employees and others in relation to health and safety at work • Understand the process by which health and safety is managed in an organisation • Understand procedures for developing and implementing risk assessment • Understand procedures for developing and implementing safe systems of work • Know how to review health and safety across an organisation Course Duration: 5 days classroom or workplace or online or via Zoom Assessment method: Written exam/externally set and marked activities
